Whenever people ask me about the difference in meaning between two different labels, I always answer them as general guidelines for how most people define them. Some people may find that these definitions do not fit their experience of the label, and that’s VALID! If someone tells you how they identify, respect it! Labels are not meant to confine people to rigid boxes but to allow them to find the language in which they feel most like themselves.

So, what is the difference between crossdressing and being trans? People who enjoy crossdressing are usually cisgender and dress up in clothes of a different gender, but they don’t identify with that gender in their internal experience. Folks who are trans find their internal experience of their gender does not align with the gender they were assigned at birth.

If you’ve been cheated on, then you know how complicated all the emotions you feel following that event are. I do believe that a relationship can survive cheating, but I also think it's important to accept that it will never be the same relationship AND you need to be honest about what you both need to rebuild commitment and trustworthiness in the partnership.

If you’ve been cheated on, it takes time to trust your partner again. And if your partner can’t give that to you, then they need to be honest about it, so you can end the relationship before things continue to worsen. 💜
