Everybody’s journey with their self-identity looks different. My gender identity was closely tied to figuring out my bisexuality. It took me so long even to consider the fact that I could be bisexual because I really liked boys! But I also liked girls and folks of other genders. It took me a while to accept that I actually was bisexual and not “faking it.”

Once I figured that out, I started to realize that I still didn’t feel like I was truly myself. I didn’t 100% agree with my gender, but again, I had this moment of imposter syndrome since I wasn’t androgynous, and there were days when I felt more feminine or masculine.

Ending a relationship is rarely easy, but the truth is that it's a part of life. And it's OKAY to break up with people. A relationship can end for any number of reasons. It might be that you are not right for each other or that the timing in your life isn't right.

If something isn't working, acknowledge it! If there's something you can do to work it out, then that's great! If not, you can part on good terms and hold love for each other rather than hate each other. Ending a relationship is not a failure for you or the other person. Sometimes, it's the healthiest choice for you both.
